Three JCB products have been listed in Construction Equipment magazine’s 2017 Top 100 New Product Awards. These include JCB Teleskid’s skid steer and compact track loader, Hydradig wheeled excavator, and its Access mobile elevating work platforms.
The JCB Teleskid is a skid and compact track loader with a telescopic boom which is said to allow operators to lift over 13 feet, reach 8 feet forward, and dig 3 feet below grade. It is also designed with the intention of combining the advantages of radial lift—for improved excavating and grading—and vertical lift—for greater lift capacity and lift height—in a single machine.
JCB’s 110W Hydradig is a wheeled excavator and tool carrier with an all-wheel drive, four-wheel steer chassis based on the company’s Loadall telescopic handler concept with three steering modes for maximum manoeuvrability and stability when travelling at speed. The machine is powered by the latest Tier 4 Final compliant JCB EcoMAX diesel engine, requiring no DPF and no DOC.
Additionally, Access mobile elevating work platforms aims to further JCB evolving product range in North America. The machines are said to meet the needs of rental companies and contractors worldwide and comply with the latest ANSI and CSA legislation.
These awards recognise the most innovative new construction equipment of the year, as chosen by the publication's editorial staff.
Ben Coleman, general manager of Product and Direct Sales for JCB North America, said: “Developing innovative product solutions to meet to the evolving needs of our customers is at the very heart of all that we do at JCB. It is the motivation behind more than 20 new JCB product announcements this year in North America. Having so many new JCB products recognized in the Top 100, and representing such diverse machine capabilities, lends testimony to the design, engineering and manufacturing excellence that goes into every JCB machine.”
