US trade association Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) has released its fifth annual Top Performers publication, which lists its contractor members that build the country’s most enduring, innovative, high-quality construction projects, ranked by work hours.

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) has released the following statement ahead of congressional Democrats’ reintroduction of the Protecting the Right to Organize Act, set for today (February 28). Among what ABC says are its many harmful provisions, the PRO Act would "violate workers’ free choice and privacy rights, force unions on employees who have voted against such representation, cost millions of American jobs and threaten vital supply chains."

US construction starts fell 27% in January to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $865.6 billion, according to Dodge Construction Network (DCN). During the month, nonresidential building starts fell 38%, residential starts lost 20%, and nonbuilding starts declined by 16%.
