Lafarge Canada has announced its acquisition of Westridge Quarries operations.

The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) met in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, to convene the Young Leaders Annual Meeting. Held 23-26 April, the event attracted a record attendance of more than 325 participants, who heard from industry leaders, participated in networking activities, and welcomed their new Committee leadership.

Heidelberg Materials says the first clinker was produced at the company's new state-of-the-art cement plant in Mitchell, Indiana, on April 23, 2023.

According to Dodge Construction Network, total construction starts increased 19% in March to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1.09 trillion. During the month, nonresidential starts rose 33%, nonbuilding increased by 17%, and residential started moved 5% higher. 

US-based screening and pelletising technology company Haver & Boecker Niagara has acquired partial ownership in Tandem Products.

Superior Industries, Inc., a US-based manufacturer and global supplier of bulk material processing and handling systems, has announced expansion plans at its Prescott Valley, Arizona facility. The company says it will add a fourth production line for manufacturing equipment used in construction aggregates and metals mining industries.
