The US construction-industry-focused Dodge Momentum Index (DMI), issued by the Dodge Construction Network, fell 2% in May to 180.5 (2000=100) from the revised April reading of 184.1. Over the month, the commercial component of the DMI was down 6.1%, while the institutional component rose 5.6%. 

The recently released Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Second Estimate by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) showed a slight increase in GDP, which grew at an annualised rate of 1.3% in the first quarter, surpassing the initial estimate of 1.1% reported last month.
