Sibelco chooses Orlaco’s RadarEye

Dutch company Orlaco says that since introducing its RadarEye system it has helped improve the safety and efficiency of industrial vehicles for many companies. Dutch company 7703 Orlaco says that since introducing its RadarEye system it has helped improve the safety and efficiency of industrial vehicles for many companies.

The advanced camera and monitor system feeds constant, real-time vision and detection information of the working area to the vehicle operator. One example is at Sibelco Benelux, which extracts and refines various types of sand and minerals, mostly high quality silica sand for industrial use. One wheeled loader at its new plant in Maasmechelen, Belgium, was equipped with a vision testing system from another company, when Sibelco’s Hans Ophelders saw the RadarEye at a trade event, and arranged a trial run on another wheeled loader.

“RadarEye came out on top because of its ease of use, clear onboard screen reception, and ability to see clearly through the sand and dust,” says Ophelders.

“The RadarEye systems are gradually being installed on all the company’s wheeled loaders throughout its Benelux locations, because it seems to make a significant difference to our loader operators.”

One such operator is Jos Denneman who says: “It makes my work in the cab more comfortable because I do not have to twist and turn to check that I am positioning the truck accurately. The real-time feedback I get on the large dashboard display is very sharp, and the built-in warning signals let me know what is behind me when I am backing up, and when to stop.”
