Holcim successfully closes SES insulation and roofing business acquisition

 

Holcim has successfully completed the acquisition of SES Foam, the biggest independent spray foam insulation company in the US, with 2022 estimated net sales of $200 million. SES has a track record of double-digit growth, with advanced energy-efficiency and bio-based solutions for new and green retrofitting projects.

An important aspect of any aggregates plant is to keep the producing assets running, as well as reducing unplanned downtime. It is also vital to meet the sustainability regulations and standards while still producing better quality materials. Improving capacity, process fit or extending the machine life by replacing obsolete components or equipment is an ideal way to optimise productivity. Retrofits or modernisations can also bring production gains to older assets.

CEMEX maintains solid top-line growth in Q2

CEMEX has continued its solid top-line growth, with second-quarter sales growing 11% to US$4,080 million. Pricing was the main driver with cement, ready-mix and aggregates, increasing by 16%,12%, and 14%, respectively.

With a difficult second quarter 2021 comparison base, EBITDA decreased by 8% to $723 million, primarily due to higher energy costs and supply chain disruptions.

Holcim posts record H1 results

Swiss building materials giant Holcim posted record first-half year results in H1 2022. Record net sales of CHF 14,681mn (€14,980mn) were up 16.9% year-on-year, with record recurring EBIT of CHF 2,173mn (€2,217mn) equating to a 9.6% rise.
