Seeking a new age of sustainable aggregates provision

Strong financial performance for Wacker Neuson

The Wacker Neuson Group is claiming a strong financial performance for the start of 2023. The firm says it is benefiting from significant growth, with group revenue up 27.9% in the first quarter to €667.2 million and the EBIT having increased disproportionately by 124.6% to €87.8 million. This last has been due to a one-time effect from the sale of fixed assets.

Polar expedition for Sandvik to support British Antarctic Survey's scientific research 

UK engineering contractor BAM has been working with the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme (AIMP) on a large infrastructure project in the Antarctic. In this programme, Sandvik was proud to be selected as the partner of choice to supply three mobile crushers and screens for a runway resurfacing project to enable further exploration in the Antarctic.

Northeast Asia construction growth to slow to 2.4% in 2023, forecasts GlobalData 

Construction activity is expected to slow across much of Northeast Asia this year, with the continued weakness in the real estate sector in China being the most significant drag on growth in the region. As a result, GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company, has revised its forecast of Northeast Asian construction output from its prior projection of a 3.8% annual growth to a growth of 2.4% in 2023.
