Cemex's $600mn Venezuelan compensation
Cemex has received payment of US$600 million (€462.6 million) from the Government of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its public entity Corporación Socialista del Cemento as compensation for the nationalisation of Cemex Venezuela.

Danish office
Conveying and packaging specialist Beumer is to establish an office in Denmark which it has said will allow the company to better serve customers in the Nordic region. "Scandinavia is of course a major industrial region and as such it makes sense that we should have a market presence there," said Beumer Scandinavian manager Torben Lund. "The new office will allow us to service our Scandinavian customers even better, as well as support our expansion throughout the region."
Weir's German pump contract
Weir Minerals has secured a two-year contract to supply and service three heavy-duty slurry pumps to Meichle und Mohr, a sand, gravel and concrete producer based in Immenstaad, southern Germany.
UK expansion for new holland
New Holland has said that expansion of its UK's dealer European Plant Services' (EPS) territory will deliver better service for customers in the region. Conveyor specialist Martin Engineering has announced that it has acquired India-based conveyor component and systems manufacturer Clean Cat Conveyors. Martin has said that the deal will help support the company's new business unit in Pune, which opened in February. Anaconda launches new screener
Although the new SR410 screen from Anaconda has been designed to satisfy the needs of customers specifically in the sand and gravel, aggregate and coal industries, it can be used in a wide variety of other applications. In June 2010, Anaconda launched the DF410, a compact scalping screen that "has proved a tremendous success" for the company. The SR410 is a more conventional screener, commonly found in applications where fine screening of materials is required.

Canada-based Major Wire Industries has announced the launch of a full range of Flex-Mat 3 self-cleaning polyurethane modular screen media panels.
