End-of-life strategies for asphalt pavements will be highlighted and debated at an upcoming conference.
Although sustainable construction processes that conserve natural resources are well recognised within the asphalt industry, practices for the recycling of asphalt vary across Europe. The matter will be discussed during the Re-Road final conference organised by FEHRL (Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories) on 13 November, 2012 at the THON Hotel in Brussels, Belgium.

In response to the mining and quarrying sectors’ concerns over pump and engine damage in situ, Pioneer Pump has devised a solution to protect its customers’ pump-sets. Based on Pioneer Pump’s original Rock & Rain protection, consisting of a painted carbon steel roof over both the engine and the pump, the new design aims to provide added protection to the sides of the pump-set, reducing repair costs and increasing equipment longevity.
