LafargeHolcim CO2ment project receives $1.5m from USDoE

LafargeHolcim's CO2ment Colorado project has received $1.5 million from the United States Department of Energy’s (DoE) National Energy Technology Laboratory.

The project stems from a collaboration with Svante, Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Occidental and Total.

Curry Supply appoints Will Buddin regional sales manager

Curry Supply has appointed Will Buddin as regional sales manager to oversee customers positioned in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.

Curry is a manufacturer and dealer of commercial service vehicles whose products include dump trucks, crash attenuator trucks and flatbed trucks.

The company says Buddin will promote and provide opportune work trucks to existing clients while also expanding his reach across the southeast.

Cemex teams up with Carbon Clean for low cost carbon capture

Building materials giant Cemex has signed an agreement with Carbon Clean to develop an efficient and affordable carbon capture solution by 2021.

UK-headquartered Carbon Clean provides low-cost modular carbon dioxide capture and separation technology, aimed at developing a carbon capture solution for the cement industry that lies below the line of US$30/ton cost of CO2 captured. Cemex is participating through its Cemex Ventures corporate venture capital unit.
