Infrastructure services company FM Conway is set to boost its asphalt manufacturing and recycling capacity by developing a new state-of-the-art plant near Heathrow, County Middlesex, southern England.

The new £10 million (€11.8 million) Heathrow Asphalt plant will enable the company to efficiently serve highways clients and partners in west London, providing 24-hour security of supply and the capacity to produce up to 300,000tonnes of asphalt/year.

Bill Brett, chairman of the Brett Group, has been appointed Mineral Products Association’s (MPA) chairman for the next two years. He will be taking over from Dyfrig James, and of MPA’s four chairmen to date, is the second to serve from an independent company.
