CNH Industrial revenue falls by 15%
CNH Industrial posted consolidated revenues of US$5.5bn in the first quarter of 2020, down 15% compared to Q1 2019.
The multinational, whose brands include construction equipment companies Case and New Holland, made a net loss of US$54m (or US$0.05 loss per share) in Q1 2020 compared to net income of US$264m (US$0.19 per share) in Q1 last year.
CNH made an adjusted net loss of US$66m in Q1 compared to adjusted net income of US$248m in Q1 2019.

Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua opts for wind energy in South Dakota
Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) has partnered with Black Hills Energy to use wind energy at its cement plant in Rapid City, South Dakota, from next year.

Terex Materials Processing suffers 23% sales drop in Q1
The Terex Materials Processing (Terex MP) crushing and screening equipment business has reported net sales of US$315.6m (€284.15m), down 23.1% versus Q1 2019 driven by challenging global markets.
Northern Ireland-based Terex MP said that it had delivered "strong" operating margin of 8.1% in a challenging market. Global Terex MP backlog totalled US$272m (€244.86m) and bookings in the quarter were US$262m (€235.81m).
Worker dies clearing obstruction in a sand and gravel bin
A worker has died after being engulfed by material from a dredged sand and gravel bin, says the US Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
The MSHA says the worker entered the bin through a lower access hatch to clear an obstruction with a bar before the material inside fell on him.
This is the seventh fatality reported in 2020, and the second classified as a “handling material” death, the administration adds.
