Construction equipment giant JCB has reached agreement with the GMB union on a new working pattern that is designed to safeguard shop floor positions across its UK operations.
Komatsu establishes corporate unit and re-brands distributors
Komatsu is re-branding its dealer and distributor locations in North America as “Komatsu” to reflect their inclusion in the company's global footprint.
Komatsu says the move will provide customers with access to additional equipment and parts inventory, as well as greater service and support resources.
Sales territories for the renamed branches remains the same, as do all equipment lines sold and services provided.
Keestrack global distribution manager Michael Brookshaw steps down
Keestrack's global distribution manager Michael Brookshaw is standing down after five years helping to enlarge the company's distribution network.
The mobile crushing and screening company says all sales and distributors will now be managed by CEO Frederik Hoogendoorn.
Keestrack's press and marketing activities will still be handled by marketing manager Marcel Kerkhofs.
Kerkhofs said: “I want to thank Michael for bringing Keestrack to the next level."

American Concrete Institute to host a "virtual" convention in June
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is to host virtual technical presentations following the cancellation of its convention in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
ACI says those attending the virtual presentations from 1-3 June will receive 20 hours of specialised knowledge regarding concrete materials, design, construction and repair.
They will also receive continuing education units and a certificate of completion for the technical presentations they attend, the institute adds.

Sunrock acquires 1,400-acre Burnt River quarry in Canada
The Sunrock Group has acquired a quarry with 1,400 acres of aggregates reserves from Brazil-based Votorantim Cimentos, via its North American business unit Canada Building Materials/St. Mary's Cement.
Sunrock says acquiring the quarry in Ontario's Burnt River will allow it to supply high-quality construction materials to the Greater Toronto Area.
