Construction Executive, the construction business magazine published by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month by unveiling a completely redesigned version of the print magazine with its January-February 2023 issue as well as a new, dynamic content mix on its online platforms.

BICES 2023

Cummins reports strong financial performance for 2022

Cummins is reporting strong performance for its fourth quarter and full year 2022. Revenues for the fourth quarter were US$7.8 billion. Excluding Meritor, the acquisition of which was completed on August 3, 2022, revenues was $6.6 billion, 13% higher than the same quarter in 2021. Excluding Meritor, sales in North America increased by 25%, and international revenues decreased by 1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2021. But strong demand across all global markets was offset by a market slowdown in China and Russia, where operations have been suspended indefinitely.

US construction adds 25,000 jobs in January, says ABC

The construction industry added 25,000 jobs on net in January, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data released today by the US Bureau of Labour Statistics. On a year-over-year basis, industry employment has risen by 294,000 jobs, an increase of 3.9%.

Shortlist unveiled in GCCA global 'Concrete in Life' photography competition

The official shortlist has been unveiled in the 'Concrete in Life' global photography competition, celebrating the beauty and essential role that concrete plays in communities and the built environment worldwide.

More than 14,000 entries were submitted from every major continent by both amateur and professional photographers for this year's competition, run by the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA).
