Driver dies after falling from trailer says MSHA
The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) has issued a fatality alert following the death of a contract driver who fell from the top of his trailer on June 1 2020.
The MSHA says the victim received first aid/CPR at the scene and passed away after being transported to a local hospital.
According to the MSHA, this is the eighth fatality reported in 2020 and the third classified as 'slip or fall of person'.

Epiroc's CEO Helena Hedblom says: “We are taking these actions to adapt to the new market situation following the Covid-19 pandemic and to make us stronger and more resilient for the future.

Outotec wins $16 million minerals and aggregates processing equipment deal in Chile
Gold Fields has awarded Outotec a contract for the delivery of minerals processing equipment to their Salares Norte greenfield gold project in the Atacama region of northern Chile. The contract value booked in Outotec's 2020 second quarter order intake is approximately $16 million.
Outotec's scope of work includes the design and delivery of one 4MW SAG mill and one 4MW Ball mill as well as five thickeners and one clarifier to be used in different process phases.
BelAZ develops an all-electric aggregates dump truck
BelAZ is working on a new dump truck that will be battery powered. The machine will feature a payload of 90 tonnes, and a South Korean firm is supplying the battery.
BelAZ has been building diesel-electric haul trucks for many years, often with smaller payloads than competing firms such as Caterpillar, Hitachi and Komatsu.
