Cemex has announced that Fresno County has "deemed complete" its application to modify operations at the Rockfield aggregates plant on Friant Road just north of Willow Avenue, and at its quarry just south of Lost Lake park.

Cement consumption in Peru crashes 69.1% in May 2020
National cement consumption in Peru dropped to 298,000 tonnes in May 2020, marking a drop of 69.1% fall on the same month in 2019, according to data presented by trade association Asocem.
This drop has been attributed to the COVID-19 lockdown.
Notably, cement consumption fell by 50.3% and 99.04% in March and April, respectively.
As for cement exports, Peru exported 283,000 metric tonnes in May 2020, marking a drop of 70.5% compared to the same month in 2019.
