Weir Minerals toasts £2.5mn of new orders in Turkey
Weir Minerals’ operation in Turkey has announced a strong performance at the start of 2013, securing £2.5 million (€2.9 million) in new orders since the opening of its first sales and service centre in the country. The company launched the 600m² facility in the south of Istanbul province in October last year to provide enhanced customer support and faster delivery of equipment, spare parts and maintenance services to its customers across the region.

Holcim Romania, a subsidiary of the Swiss group Holcim, recorded a loss in 2012 – its first annual loss in 10 years. The €8.67 million (RON 37.70mn) deficit is said to be due to a rise in costs. The company's turnover amounted to around €218.12 million (RON 948.70mn), similar to 2011.
Armaton building reinforced concrete plant in Novosibirsk
Armaton, a part of First Construction Fund, is looking to build a reinforced concrete plant on a 12 ha plot in an industrial and logistics park in Novosibirsk, Siberia. The park management company will reportedly provide connection to utilities and transport infrastructure. The enterprise will cover over 50,000m², with full-scale operation of the plant earmarked to begin in 2018. The plant capacity will be around 300,000m² of housing per annum.
