Holcombe CVI has announced it is the first member to join the Volumetric Mixer Manufacturer Bureau (VMMB) from the western US.
The VMMB is comprised of five other volumetric concrete manufacturers in the US and Canada, which includes rigorous product quality standards for membership.

Cemex has confirmed that the measures it put in place to mitigate the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic will not delay the implementation of its Climate Action Strategy.
In February, Cemex established a 2030 target of a 35% reduction of its net specific CO2 emissions per ton of cementitious product compared with its 1990 baseline.
The company is also aiming to deliver a net-zero CO2 concrete globally to all of its customers by 2050.
Krank launches world’s first commission-free auction platform driven by the businesses that use it
A new online auction platform has been developed by online tech company Krank, allowing companies to host commission-free machinery sales and build lead generation opportunities at the same time.
The systems allows companies to host their own auctions and sell equipment online with out the need for an auctioneer.
Krank claims that: "The system is secure, with users creating their own private marketplaces, choosing who can participate in the auction and agreeing terms – all with no commission or fees for buyer or seller.

Organisers of the bauma China 2020 exhibition say that the event will now take place as planned. More than 3,000 exhibitors are expected while the exhibition space will total 300,000m² and visitor registration is planned to be open from mid-August 2020.

Brazilian cement sales jump up 24.2% in June 2020 says Snic
According to preliminary data from Brazil's national cement industry union Snic, cement sales in June 2020 increased 24.2% year-on-year, reaching 5.2mn tonnes.
Snic notes that after seeing the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on sales in March and April 2020 the sector started to see recovery in May 2020 and this continued through June 2020, driven by residential and commercial construction and work resuming on real estate projects.
