CDEnviro’s D:Max helps MTS recycle
Liquid waste specialist MTS Cleansing has invested in three D:Max mobile classification units from CDEnviro, allowing it to separate grit and rag from sludge and recycle 100% of screened waste.
MTS initially contacted CDEnviro to buy two D:Max units, but due to the volume of work the order increased to three, while MTS has secured a five-year extension on its contract with Southern Water through to 2021.
CDEnviro says D:Max has the potential to divert tonnes of waste from landfill and recover large vo
Concrete specialist invests in JCB
A leading UK independent concrete producer, Brett Concrete (a division of the Brett Group), has bought two new JCB wheeled loading shovels for materials handling at its batching plants.
The company originally bought a JCB 427 model to handle concrete at its Royal Tunbridge Wells site, south-west England, and has since bought a second model to work at its nearby Canterbury site.
The latest machine has been specified with a narrow bucket and greater reach to enable even more effective loading of volumetric
W.S. Tyler has finger on Pulse
W.S. Tyler, the processing arm of Haver & Boecker, has launched the Pulse vibration analysis program.
Led by Dieter Takev, W.S Tyler’s engineering team designed Pulse specifically to monitor the health of vibrating screens to ensure optimum screening performance and equipment durability.
Understanding that small imbalances can lead to substantial and expensive problems, Pulse detects irregularities that could translate into diminished performance, decreased efficiency and increased operating costs for th
DCT offers mini DustBoss
Developed for applications such as conveyor unloading points and other limited-space dust-producing areas is the DustBoss DB-M Mini from Dust Control Technology (DCT).
Generating a cascading mist of atomised droplets averaging 50-200microns in size, the DB-M Mini unit has a throw of about 3.04m under calm conditions.
The unit runs on water pressure alone, requiring no electrical hook-up.
“We’ve found suppression is best achieved by controlling dust at the source whenever possible,” says Carl Harr
Cifa wins second Red Dot
Cifa has received a second Red Dot Award for its styling of the Coguaro mixer for transporting concrete in demanding environments. In 2014, the Red Dot Award (a worldwide award for product design) went to the company’s Energya truck mixer. The Coguaro was designed by the Styling Centre of Cifa in Senago, Milan, Italy, and powered by a Perkins 1106D-E66TA diesel engine producing 121kW at 2,220rpm, the Coguaro’s drum has a nominal capacity of 4m³ and a geometric volume of 4.8m³.
